2024 VSBA High School Student Video Contest
The Virginia School Boards Association is once again asking Virginia high school students to create a video that expresses their thoughts and ideas about public education. The theme for the 13th annual competition, is “Kindness” and students can choose one of three topics:
- Kindness and Mental Health
- Random Acts of Kindness
- Kindness in Sports
Students are invited to submit a 30-second video that conveys the contest theme. The top 3 videos, along with those identified by the judges as honorable mentions, will be posted on VSBA’s YouTube site, VSBA website, and a press release announcing the winners. Winners will be honored at the VSBA Annual Convention in November.
For more information on how to submit video entries, please see the below linked document. Information is also available on the VSBA website. All submissions must be sent through the online submission form.
PLEASE NOTE: Only ONE submission per school division will be accepted.
The submission deadline has passed.
**All students that are featured in the video (excluding wide shots of crowds) and working on the video must have their parent/guardian sign a VSBA Student Video Contest Participant Release Form. The form is located on the second page of the below linked document. Submissions will not be considered if there is not a release form attached to the online submission for each participating student.**
