Virginia School Boards Association President Commends School Board Members and Educators for Contributing to Virginia’s Top Business Ranking

Charlottesville, VA – The Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) is thrilled to announce and celebrate Virginia being named America’s Top State for Business in 2024. This accolade comes from the Consumer News and Business Channel (CNBC) and is a testament to the Commonwealth’s outstanding schools and robust infrastructure, critical components that have significantly contributed to this achievement.

Dr. Cardell Patillo, President of the VSBA, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated school board members and educators whose relentless efforts have been instrumental in attaining this prestigious ranking.

“We are incredibly proud of Virginia’s recognition as the top state for business in 2024,” said Dr. Patillo. “This achievement underscores the exceptional quality of our education system and infrastructure. Our school board members and educators have shown unwavering commitment to providing high-quality education and fostering environments where students can thrive. Their hard work has laid the foundation for a strong workforce, attracting businesses and driving economic growth in Virginia.”

Virginia’s education system is renowned for its excellence, consistently ranking among the best in the nation. The dedication of educators to nurturing young minds and preparing them for future careers has played a pivotal role in creating a skilled and competent workforce, which is a key factor in Virginia’s top business ranking.

“Our schools are the bedrock of our communities, and their success is a direct reflection of the tireless efforts of our school board members and educators,” added Dr. Patillo. “We extend our deepest thanks to each one of them for their contributions to this significant accomplishment. Their passion for education and commitment to student success are truly inspiring.”

The VSBA remains committed to supporting and advocating for the continuous improvement of Virginia’s educational system. As we celebrate this milestone, we recognize that the work of enhancing education and infrastructure is ongoing. We look forward to building on this success and continuing to create an environment where both businesses and communities can flourish.
