Virginia School Boards Association, a voluntary, nonpartisan organization of Virginia school boards, promotes excellence in public education through leadership, advocacy and services.

Goals

• To maximize student achievement by taking a leadership role in education reform.
• To advocate effectively for Virginia’s public schools and children before all levels of government and the public.
• To increase engaged participation of member boards and stakeholders in all VSBA services and activities.

2023-2026 Strategic Plan

The 2023-2026 VSBA Strategic Plan is the product of long hours of effort by the VSBA Board of Directors and staff. Board-member driven, the plan is a living document designed to guide VSBA now and into the future as it works to support Virginia’s public school boards in the 21st century. With this new strategic plan, VSBA has positioned itself as the forward-looking voice of public education in supporting its mission of providing the best service possible for Virginia’s public school boards. The plan is based around the Mission, Vision, and Goals.
