Virginia School Boards Association President Made Roadshow
Stop to Northampton County Public Schools
Charlottesville, VA – Earlier today, September 13, 2024, Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) President, Dr. Cardell Patillo, made his 19th stop on the President’s Roadshow with a visit to Northampton County Public Schools. The visit featured two significant ribbon-cutting ceremonies.
The first ceremony took place at Kiptopeke Elementary School, where Dr. Patillo helped to inaugurate a brand-new playground designed for students in grades K-6. The second ceremony was held at Occohannock Elementary School, where Dr. Patillo participated in the ribbon cutting for two new playgrounds: one for grades K-2 and another for grades 3-6.
“It was an honor to be part of these ceremonies and to witness the community’s dedication to enhancing the education experience for all children,” stated Dr. Patillo. “These playgrounds are more than just recreational spaces; they represent our commitment to providing sage, engaging, and inclusive environments for our students. Thank you to Northampton County Public Schools for having me and allowing me to participate.”
The President’s Roadshow is an ongoing initiative. The VSBA encourages all member Virginia school boards to reach out to be considered for a future stop on the President’s Roadshow.
