Congratulations to VSBA Past-President Rodney A. Jordan of the Norfolk City School Board for receiving the Mary Peake Award for Excellence in Education Equity in the category of Policy Maker for his work as VSBA President and as Co-Chair of the VSBA Task Force on Students and Schools in Challenging Environments. Named after one of Virginia’s first education equity pioneers, this award recognizes individuals making an impact on equity outcomes in the Commonwealth. The award is presented by the Virginia Department of Education.
